Purpose of the catalogue
The RROLA Public Domain Literature Library exists to make accessible a curated selection of works that document the history of books, publishing, and knowledge organization. It is not a general library but a focused collection for readers interested in bibliography, library science, and the material culture of reading.
Scope and selection
All 96 works are drawn from Project Gutenberg and were chosen for their relevance to book history, language study, and cultural documentation. Source attribution
Every book record credits Project Gutenberg as the source. No works are hosted on rrola.com; the site links to external editions. Authors, editors, and publishers are listed as supplied in the original metadata.
Bibliographic records
Each entry includes title, author(s), publisher, keywords, target reader, and a catalogue note written by the editor. The catalogue note provides contextual information to guide a first reading, focusing on structure, themes, and editorial framing.
Category assignment
Works are grouped into four categories as navigation aids. These categories are based on thematic affinities found in the content and are not definitive literary judgments. The category names may suggest genres that the works do not fully embody; readers should consult catalogue notes for accurate description.
